| In this world, there will always
be opposites. Good and bad. The righteous and the evil. Day
and night. The hero and the villain. The sane, and the criminally
insane. And although there is opposites, sometimes they can
be disguised. Covered up. Metamorphosed just by having a deceving
name. Long islands Bela Kiss does just this. In the early 1920’s a psycho Hungarian killer named Bela Kiss successfully murdered 25 women by draining there bodies of there fluids and stuffing the remains in empty oil drums. He was never caught. Pretty name. Ugly story. While Bela Kiss sounds like it would be some kind of pretty, coherent band, its not. The rage of this metalcore quintet can be expressed best by the presence of their insane stage performance. Singer Nick Pranito’s incredible vocal range can bring the mood of the song from a heart pounding emotional standpoint to an insane tortured deep down death metal styled growl, making him one of the most talented and unique vocalists on the island. His lyrics scream of metaphors and fictional stories tied in cleverly with everyday emotions of love, hatred, and deceit. Guitarists Kyle Cadolino and Dean Chutis harness the amazing power of guitar and execute it with much precision and skill. Whether it be melodic clean parts or the pure fury of a breakdown, Kyle and Dean bring the driving force home in Bela Kiss. Fusing elements of hardcore and metal while mixing in elements of grindcore and experimental time signatures, they make Bela Kiss’s music stylistic and unique to former bands of this genre. Bassist James Morgan and Drummer Alex Lehneis Provide the backbone to Bela Kiss. James’s Complicated bass lines not only compliment the melody…it intensifies it. Using his knowledge of music theory, he brings important backline in the form of intense octaves and techniques. Drummer Alex Lehneis skill tops off Bela Kiss’s awesome unified sound. With blaring beats and irregular time signatures, Alex provides the most important part to Bela Kiss. Sorting out the chaos for your listening experience. While there are many high points and elements to Bela Kiss, one thing is certain. NO ONE IS SAFE. Bela Kiss plans on touring the U.S. this upcoming summer to bring the music to the masses. Whether it be the confines of the island, or the golden shores of California, or anything in between, Bela Kiss plans on making there name known, and there legacy etched in stone.
