Bio:
"Its really very simple actually. antilove is like a rice crispie. They got da snap, da crackle, and da pop…BITCH!" – Allan Dygon, close personal friend of antilove.
Listen, i could sit here all day and try to bullshit you with talks of originality and try to convince you buy our record or come see us live through this bio, but everyone knows every bio is completely full of shit just to patronize you, the listener. the truth behind us is that we have and always will be 5 kids trying to be as honest as they can to both themselves and their fans through their music. originating and thriving in the western massachusetts scene, known for some of the heaviest and most popular metal and hardcore acts to date, antilove has made a name for ourselves by not staying confined to any specific method of musical thinking. doing what our hearts tell us to do and hoping people will catch on to the emotion literally coarsing through our veins.
Over the last 3 years antilove has gone through many cosmetic and aesthetic changes, but still has reamined at heart the same band. the band was formed in the summer of 2003 by christopher beauregard (vocals), gregory pronovost (drums), and ryan moge (guitar), after leaving their respective band(s). when personal situations caused members james zabik (guitar) and brenden d’amours (bass) to part ways with antilove in early 2004, two new members started their ‘tenure’ in the band. jason vanschelt (guitar) and brendan lalumiere (lead bass) started in early 2004 and have been with antilove ever since.
With two self released eps under their belt, antilove went into the studio with mike "jokes on you" poorman [of hot rod circuit fame] to record their debut full length for audio deprived records, "all we are; memories". dubbed "the brutal metal mania" by mike poorman himself, these young fellows emerged from their twelve day stint in burlington, vermont with something special. 10 tracks that capture the powerful emotion that these five gentleman poured into the microphones and mixing boards, minus of course (some of) the expletives and race-oriented jokes that sometimes slipped out.
Antilove will be on tour starting in june of 2006 into 2007 to support their debut full length. look for us in a town near you, and if you come to one of our shows or pick up our cd, drop us a line or come up and say hello. we’re going to be a long way away from home, and we welcome every friend we can possibly make on the road. thank you very much for reading.
